[Opinions] Theresa.
I'm suddenly totally and utterly in love with this name. I'm not sure why as it's the name of my ex-boyfriend's mother; and I did not and do not like her. However, it also brings to mind lots of saints and just has a beautiful, fun vibe. I would most likely not give her a nickname, unless my family insisted and then it would be Tess. Opinions? Wdyt of Ivy Theresa and Reuben Emmanuel as siblings?

I love Teresa, but I think the h makes it look cluttered and clunky. There is something so wonderful about the simple shape of Teresa. Just a single letter which goes above or below the line, weird things like that make me love names, sorry. Tess is nice enough, but I prefer no nickname. Ivy Teresa is beautiful and I love Reuben Emmanuel. My Teresa combos were/are Teresa Magdalene and Teresa Marion, but I think Ivy Teresa is really very sweet although I like Teresa more than Ivy and would want to name her Teresa Ivy. Teresa and Reuben sound magnificent.

I have suddenly been a bit in love with Teresa myself (for some reason this spelling much more than Theresa). It used to bore me, although all versions of Teresa used to be on my list because it's kind of a family name, and sometimes it still kind of does. I think it's those darn saints. I have a character I'm quite fond of named Maria Teresa (occasionally "Maite") and since I invented her, I thought through her parents' naming process and fell madly in love with her name. It's so strong and steeped in history and regality. And green, green, green next to Maria's burgundy. (I was thinking of naming her Maria Teresa Katarina, which would put her with three classic names of unsure origin.) Tess is fine, if boring - much better than Teri....I cannot condone Reuben still :( But Ivy Theresa is a great combo, it's very very green and lush and fun.

The name certainly has a sweet charm to it. I also especially love Therese.

I like all of the names, but I am not sure I like Ivy in the set. It doesn't quite fit to me for some reason.

I think Theresa is really pretty. It has good connotations for me, with the religious connections. It's always been one of those names I've liked but not enough to consider it for anything. I think that Ivy Theresa and Reuben Emmanuel are quite nice names for a sister and brother.

I love, love, love Teresa (or Theresa if for English speakers). I'd not use a nn, but if you must then Tess or Tessa.Sorry, but I don't like Ivy or Reuben, but Emanuel (prefer this spelling, the other is just too frilly) is nice.

Theresa is very pretty, it's well-known but not tryndee. I have to say that Ivy Theresa and Reuben Emmanuel don't really sound like siblings. The boy's combo sounds very Orthodox Jewish to me, while Theresa has a pretty strong Catholic association.Theresa Ivy also flows a bit better than Ivy Theresa, which sounds a little like "I be Theresa." lol

Lol.I have a sinking suspicion that our kids' names will be an odd mixture of Jewish and Catholic names. :-D My names are very Hebrew/Old Testament because that's the tradition in my family; X's are, of course, very Catholic. That said, I highly doubt I'd have a Reuben Emmanuel. X doesn't like either name and Emmanuel carries baggage in my family. It's too bad, I adore both. :-(Theresa Ivy is quite pretty, much better than Ivy Theresa.

I'm a HUGE fan of Teresa. It's my favorite girls name. I don't like the combo Ivy Theresa...Theresa seems so sensual and Ivy seems so dry. I love Theresa and Reuben or Theresa and Emmanuel together, though. My favorite combos are Teresa Rocio, Teresa Belen, and Teresa Calypso.

*steals Rocio*That's too awesome of a name.On Ivy: I'm not a fan of it myself, but my ex adores it. As he doesn't care of Theresa I thought it might be a good compromise. And I think I might just go with the spelling Teresa.
