[Opinions] Gethin & Lucan ...
WDYT of the names Gethin & Lucan / Luken? How would you pronounce Gethin? Do you think that it would be mispronounced by the general public?Do you think that people would confuse Lucan or Luken with Luke, Lucas, Luca?
Should I just stick with Luca on my list?
Do you prefer Lucan or Luken?

Gethin - What are you gettin'. That David Gethin [Geffen] sure makes wonderful movies. I'm not sure that you could escape mispronounciations, but does that matter? I'd probaby go for something similar to my latter example, but its not my style.Lucan - I prefer Lucan to Lukan, but at quick glance I think people would just confuse it for Luca or Lucien, so I'd stick with Luca. Besides, it seems softer.

I'm not fond of Gethin. It reminds me of the word 'goth.' I don't mind Gareth, though, and that's similar.I love Luken! It's cute, unique, and not made-up. It does follow the -n ending trend, though. I prefer Luken to Lucan. Luca has always felt like a girls' name to me. People will probably realize that Luken is a form of Luke, but I doubt they'd confuse it once they've learned his name, since it's so unique!

I really like both names.
Gethin is a traditional and gorgeous Welsh name, which in England has been popularised recently by a TV presenter from the kids' programme Blue Peter.I prefer Lucan spelt with a `c`. It's a strong alternate to the more popular Lucas/Luke names.

Gethin is nms, it looks too much like "get in". I've never seen/heard the name before. On first glance I would just pronounce it as it looks - "GETH-inn".I really like the name Lucan, but don't like the spelling Luken, it looks like a typo of Luke. I prefer Lucan to Luca because I used to know a girl called Luca so I think of it as very feminine. The n in Lucan makes it sound more masculine.S xx

I dislike both Gethin and Lucan.I would pronounce Gethin as Ge-thin, or maybe Ge-tin (which sounds like "gettin' some?" Which sounds awful to me.
Lucan sounds like typo, although I know Lucan was an epic Poet.Personally I would stick to Luca.
