There have been quite a few Caroline's posted lately and I'm wondering how you pronounce it.
Caroline - with long "I" sound
or Caroline with short "I" sound?
I think I prefer the long "I" sound with the short "I" sound to be spelled: Carolyn instead.

I agree with you. CAHR-oh-line is how I (and 99.9 of the world) say it. CAHR-oh-lyn should be spelled Carolyn.

Of course, Caroline is pronounced as CAHR-o-line in ENGLISH-speaking countries.

If its seplt Caroline I generally pronounce it CAR-O-LINE, and if its spelt Carolyn I pronounce it CAR-O-LYN.

In France, Caroline is pronounced as Kah-ro-LEEN. And since Caroline is a French name, it can hardly be incorrect. In Sweden we also pronounce it the French way.
Of course, an American/English/Australian Caroline, I would call Caroline with the English pronounciation.
