[Opinions] Asher
There were two little boys at a resturant I went to today, their names were Asher and Smith. I think everyone would agree that Smith is pretty bad, but WDYT of Asher? I heard it on TV today too on Gilmore Girls.

I love Asher! Smith is horrible but Asher is a favorite of mine.

It makes me think of the boy Asher in The Giver, who was a likable character, so I like it.

Smith is too surname-y for me. I like Asher though as long as you don't call him Ash.

I like the sound of Asher and I like Asha for a girl.

SUCH good assosiation for me. Before I knew an Asher, I don't think I'd have liked it. But now I think of it as quirky all these other wonderful things :)We used to tease him and call him Asherly (he loved it--actually, he may have started it?), but that might be something to consider if you're very sensitive to that sort of thing.

Asher is one of my favourite names. I love many Biblical names and this one is fairly unusual.
I don't like using surnames - Smith or any other - as first names, unless they are to honour a family member.

Smith is too surnamey for me to like. But Asher is adorable. I love that name.

Smith is a surname to me and not one that really works as a fn imo. Asher I find gorgeous though. I think it has a great sound, a fantastic meaning and I also love that it's Biblical.

I like Asher. It is a great name and you don't hear it that often. Until I read this, I have only heard of one Asher besides the one in the Bible.

I love Asher as a MN on a boy and FN on a girl.
