I prefer the spelling Zoia, which has been the only spelling I have ever seen. Zoya reminds me of soy.

Really? Zoya is generally the most common transcription from Зоя.

Not that I have seen around here. I sing in a lot of choruses and I have known several Zoia's, but never a Zoya.
