1. WDYTO Carson? My (masculine) cousin's name, probably among the better of the recent surname-first name mixup trend.
2. Is it too surnamey? As with all the names of this trend, yes.
3. Any middle name suggestions? My cousin is Carson Mark. Maybe Carson James, or Carson Anthony?
4. Would you prefer it on a girl? I like it better on a guy, but its NMS on both.

1. WDYTO Carson?
I don't really like it, it just blends in with all the other "son" names/surname names. It sounds a bit like one of my favourite boys' names right now though (Carwyn) so that's somewhat redeeming...2. Is it too surnamey?
I think most surnames are too surnamey, but it's far from my least favourite.3. Any middle name suggestions?

1. I really dislike it. It's one of those overly trendy sounding names.
2. Yes
3. I really don't want to try. I think if it's a family surname that it would be fine as a mn itself though.
4. Definitely not, it would be even worse that way.

1. WDYTO Carson?
It's okay. Sort of trendy but better than Braden / Kaden / Jaden.2. Is it too surnamey?
Well, it is a surname... Whether's it's too surnamey is entirely dependent on how one feels about surnames as given names, now doesn't it? For myself, it's not so bad.3. Any middle name suggestions?
Anything but Daly, I would think, would be acceptable. ;DDon't pair it with another trendy two-syllable name or surname ending in N, and you should be okay. Match it with something more traditional, maybe.Carson Alexander
Carson Benedict (everything, and I mean everything, goes well with Benedict imo *LOL*)
Carson Daniel
Carson Joseph
Carson Lawrence4. Would you prefer it on a girl?
Only, and I repeat only, if her first name were Scarlett. ;DOtherwise it's a boy's name, imo. The whole -son thing. Y'know.

1. Dislike it. It looks like "car son" and has an annoyingly trendy (s)on ending.
2. Definitely.
3. Charles, Andrew, Mark
4. No, I would hate it even more. There's nothing remotely feminine about this name.

Carson Patrick, Carson Gabriel, Carson Paul4. WOuld you prefer it on a girl?
No, despite the fact that the first Carsons I knew of were a girl from my high school and Carson McCullers. I was startled the first time I met a male Carson, but I still prefer it for a boy.
