I love Sagan as a middle name for a boy (and only for a boy). For me, it's in honor of Carl Sagan, who is one of the people I admire and respect the most.ETA: I particularly like Maxwell Sagan and Henry Sagan.

Recently a friend of a friend, maybe a year ago, had a baby she named Sagen (a boy.) it isn't terrible, but it could be better.

Sagan - it's lovely! But certainly only for a boy. I just really don't think that it seems like a girls name. It's very, very masculine in my opinion. Lovely though! I'd like to think of a way of using it as a middlename maybe. That'd be fantastic...Maybe Nathaniel Joshua Sagan...Hmm!

I could see Sagan on a boypossibly as a nod to Carl Sagan. It's more original and culturally significant than Braden / Kaden / Jaden, that's for damn sure.

Interesting name. I can't say I've heard of it before; although, my dad just mentioned it's German.
