[Opinions] Bluejay
I was in the store earlier today thinking about names, and which sounds I especially like. I kind of mouthed 'oo' and 'ay', and Bluejay popped into my mind. What do you think? I'm not sure if I like it or not. I know it is probably too unrealistic for a child, but what do you think about it, in theory? Boy or girl? I think it'd work better on a boy, personally, because of the "Jay" part. So, anyway, opinions?

NMSAA.
That sounds really silly in my opinion. I would personally never take a person who names their child Bluejay seriously. And I'd feel sorry for the child.

I'm sorry but I find it silly. It's one of those names like Blackbird and Sparrow, that would look really weird in any real-life situation, whether on children or adults.
That is cute...
But perhaps a little too cute. If I was to hear Bluejay and not allow it to remind me of anything, it would definitely be on a boy. I like it...

It's the name of a program development tool used by computer scientists. So I can't see it on a child!

Sure, why not? I know a little boy named Blue Rider. Bluejay could just go by Jay.
I couldn't rationally diss this no matter what, anyway, since I love Blackbird as a girl's mn.

Oooh, Blackbird! I just might have to add that to my list of GPs ;)
You can't be serious. Would be called "Blow J."

Yep. That was my first thought too.
Cute name in theory, but I don't think it could ever work without problems like this.

by whom ? ;-P
no one that doesn't even make sense
I disagree . . .
(I know, how unusual, right?)
I'm in high school. The kid would be called Blowjay, trust me.

Whatever Blowjay. Let's see if you like it.
hmmmm
hmmmm
I only see it as someone who's immature makes fun of other people [why would you want to hurt others on purpose or at all it's really mean-spirited IMO]. I've been called worse things tehn that so it wouldn't faze me. Like Isaid before Blowjay doesn' make any sense and I don't see how someone could get Blow from Blue.

Where I live, they sound very similar. I think =A= is native to an area relatively close to where I live.
That would probably do it then. I'm from the West Coast (as is Sabrina Fair, I believe) and while the two are somewhat similar what with the "bl" sound at the beginning the two don't sound close enough for me to really make that connection.
Oh, I think it's kind of cute. :D Probably not as a first name, but it would be nice as a middle name.
cute I like it for both
