Help[Opinions] Robert, David, James & Marshall.
In my post a little under this one, I have a dilemma using all of the four above masculine names for honoring. So my questions are this:
A) Feminine forms of these names that you personally like? I'm not really fond of Roberta or Davida or anything like that with an "a" just tacked on the end.
B) Any other names for boys that aren't as common that you think would work as honoring for the above names?
C) Any first name suggestions if I were to use them as MNs?

Oops, looks like I posted on the older post below (didn't see this one). It looks like I was thinking along the same lines as you, but I'll repost my old post below just in case any of it will be helpful.
In response to your current question, I guess I would throw out Marsha, Jamie & Davinia. Sorry if someone has already suggested these!

Also, do most (or any) of the men you're honoring share a common last name? If they do, consider using that as a middle name to honor more than one of them with one name.

Haha, no I have not tried crying yet. Although I think if push comes to shove that might work!:)
The way I see it, giving my sons two middle names (especially since they are honoring family members) shouldn't be that much of a big deal because ultimately the child will be the one who decides if he will put his full name on legal documents or even which name he wants to be called, so I feel as if I am just giving him more options with his name later in life. Of course, SO doesn't see it this way...grrr.
Actually, all four family members have the same last name (my maiden name) and my SO doesn't care for my last name, even though I love it. So perhaps that is a way to get around it. That's a good idea.

A) The feminine forms: Robin, Robyn, Davena (sorry, that's close), Dava, Jaime, and ... how about Marsha? Or maybe Marshella (Marsh-elle-ah)?
B) Robin. Sorry, I know I already mentioned that for a girl's name. Other than that, I can't think of anything, except for maybe Jacob which I doubt you'll like because it is so high on the popularity charts. (I say Jacob because James is supposedly an Anglicized form of Jacob.)
C) I don't really wish to give away my own choices for two of those names (Marshall and James) because they are actually on my list. However, I'll give some off-the-top-of-my-head combos.

Graham David (not my best combo)
Albus David (sorry, just had to slip some Harry Potter in)

David - Davina or Davinia I dont like Davida either
James - Jamesina is the only feminine form I like to any degree but I much prefer the male form, my son is James
Marshall - not a feminine form but similar in sound Marsha
Robert - Robina or Robertina( I like this but bit is rather long)

Jamie would be a nice one, because I have three good friends named Jamie in addition to my uncle being named James. I wouldn't use Jane because that's my SO's stepmother's name and he dislikes her. I probably wouldn't use Jacqueline either because it is really similar to my favorite girl's name ( Jocelyn ). And Marsha seems dated to me, but it could work as a MN.
