Two random event ideas: One of your children decides they are not going to go to college. How do you react?
Your son/daughter was born prematurely. How early was he/she born? Will there be any lasting complications?
Laura and Anthony met at a high school, but not as students. Laura was a new band director and Anthony was an engineer fresh out of college who was volunteering with the school's robotics team. One day Laura went in to discuss allowing the team to borrow flags and the like from the band. Anthony ended up being the one she talked to. Despite her general dislike of people in math and science related careers, she found herself attracted to him, and found excuses to keep stopping by to "check up on" the progress of the team, even convincing a couple of her students to join the team. She was disappointed when the build season was over, but Anthony gave her his phone number. The two were married a year and a half later, with students from both the school band and the robotics team in attendance.
