I dislike Rowena when it's pronounced "Roweena", but I love it with an open "eh" sound, the way you'd pronounce it in a Latin language. It's something I'd seriously ponder on before using the name on a real child.

Ditto. row-ENN-nah is pretty, ro-WEE-nah is silly. Assuming that you say it the former way, like I do. =D
