[Opinions] Re: BAs from southern England
in reply to a message by Rose-Berry
Daisy-Anne - Daisy Anne would have been a lot, lot better but this is OK. Anne is a bit too dull IMO
Darcey Amelia - I prefer Darcy but the masculinity of Darcy is perfectly balanced by the femininity of Amelia which causes me to almost fall in love with this name - really lovely
Eleanor - I would have liked to see a mn but I adore Eleanor and it's simple elegance so this is nice
Erin Rose - I'm not a huge fan of Erin and Rose is a bit of a filler but all-in-all this is nice
Grace Stella - not too sure that the flow here is great but I do like both names. Its nice to see Grace as a fn as well
Holly Rose - bit too naturey but still really dute and it has a nice flow
Lana Grace - OK although I'm not a huge fan of Lana / Alana
Maisie Florence - not at all a fan of either of the names but it is OK
Nicole Sarah – bit dated and I'm not too sure about the combo of Ryan, George and Nicole
Phoebe Elouise - I adore the quirkiness of Phoebe (the creators of Friends were perfect namers) but I've never been a fan of Elouise or Eloise
Ramaani Kaur - its obviously a foreign name so possibly something special to the family but I'm not a fan
Saffron Lilly-Anne – they clearly like hyphens but I feel that the hyphened middlename ruins the name. Saffron Lilly would have been wonderful. I'm also not too sure about Saffron and Teagan as a sibset
Bailey Ross - I've always seen Bailey as a girl's name
Cairo Christopher Abraham - totally dislike Cairo, Christopher is OK but Abraham is an old man's name IMO. None of them even remotely match
Charlie Dominic Frederick - the 'ick' sound is a bit too repetitive so I would have preferred just Charlie Dominic. I really like Charlie though
Oliver Taylor - again the 'ur' sound is too repetitive but I really like Oliver. I see Taylor as a girl's name though
Owen James - Owen isn't a favourite for me but it is OK
Marco Christopher Luigi - obviously Italian ties here but I'm not keen on the combo
Richard Kelly - I absolutely loathe both names (I don't hate Kelly on a girl) so I can't stand this combo
Riley Cassidy – the repeated 'ee' sound is a bit much in both the combo and sibset. Not a favourite of mine
Sean Kaleb - prefer Caleb but this is OK
Theo Joseph Jeffrey – isn't Elisha a girl's name? It certainly looks like one. Theo Joseph is fantastic is awesome though but I'm not keen on Jeffrey
Tobias Charles - bit too try-hard for me but it is OK
Twins:
Saskia Grace & Lottie Francesca – dislike the flow of Lottie Francesca for some reason (Charlotte Francesca would be better). Saskia Grace is brilliant though (Saskia has good connotations for me as one of my boyfriend's sisters is Saskia Imogen and she's a real sweetie). Sadly I really don't like Saskia with the other sisters - Lottie, Lucy and Isobel are really sweet, classic names but Saskia is really strong and spunky. However, I don't mind this too much
