[Opinions] Briseis
pronounced bri-SAY-es.
Briseis is a character from Homer's Iliad (story of the downfall of Troy). she was a Trojan widow taken by Achilles as a slave, but both fell in love. when she was taken by Agamemnon as replacement for his own slave, Achilles refused to fight in the war.i would use the nickname 'Bree'.
what do you think?
any other nickname suggestions?

It kind of has a cool sound, and I love names from Greek mythology, but at the same time, I can't help but notice what the first four letters are. Besides Bree, do you like the NNs Rissa or Rissie?

Brisida is a new one to me, and I like it!, which makes me happy, because I've always liked the story of Briseis but never the name itself. So here's a new, and authentic, alternative! Curious: Would Briseida or Briseda be very wrong? Those spellings seem more indicative of the original name, to me.

Briseis Cassandra was one i was considering along with Briseis Andromache, but since they're all from the same story it might be a bit much?
