[Opinions] Bláthnat/Bláthnaid
I'm not that big of a fan of Irish/Celtic names (they break English pronunciation rules which would make it difficult for most children to have their name pronounced in North America, where I live) but this one I may actually like. I was introduced to Blathnaid first and then later found Blathnat, the original form. I guess this name is a bit of a guilty pleasure for me then. WDYT? Also, what about Emily Bláthnat or Emily Bláthnaid?

GorgeousI've always loved Blaithin ("blah-HEEN") so Blathnaid / Blathnat is not hard to love too.As long as it's in the mn position, I say go for it. Emily Blathnat / Blathnaid sounds wonderful. Light and airy Emily fits nicely with the floral feeling of Blathnat / Blathnaid. My (American) niece is Clare Siobhan. I asked her once (as a teen) if she ever had any problems with her mn. She said yes, in school it was always misspelled. But she said it was worth it because she loves her name.

I don't think it's the prettiest sounding name, but it's not too bad. I like that it's from the Cuchulainn story though. It would be an alright middle name. I think Bláthnaid looks nicer than Bláthnat-- Emily Bláthnaid is nice.
