Christophe and Serafina met at the photo exhibition of a mutual friend of theirs, Ronan. Christophe was staring at a photo their friend had taken of Serafina when she was crying, when she came to stand besides him. She asked him what he thought about it and without looking at her he said the shot was so perfect that he wished he could reach in the picture and hold that beautiful woman and comfort her. He said the that he wished he knew what the woman was feeling so sad about at that time. She replied that the woman was crying because she felt lonely. Christophe turned his head and found himself staring at the sad eyes of the woman in the picture. Before he realised what he was doing, he had pulled her towards him and held her. She wasn't expecting that, but allowed him to hold her.
Later they went to her place and talked all throughout the night and then went to the rooftop to watch the sun come up. They both fell in love that night.
Three months later Christophe proposed to Serafina and she accepted. Their wedding was kept small and only their closest friends and relatives were present. They got married in the forest and their mutual friend was invited to take the pictures at their wedding.
They bought a house together and went to Firenze (where Serafina's family originated from) for their honeymoon.
