how would you pronounce Arien? 'AH-ree-en' or 'AIR-ee-en'?
and do you prefer it to Aerin? (pronounced like Erin or Aeron).

Like the others said, I pronounce it AIREY-en, which is identical to Aryan in my accent. For that reason, I don't like it.

I pronounce it AIR-ee-in. It's very nice sounding and I can definately see the name potential, but it's too similar (and is identical sounding) to arian. Like, what the Nazis considered the perfect race. I wouldn't be able to look at the name without thinking of the Holocaust. I prefer the sound of Arien to the name Aerin, but would never use it. Also, why not just Erin? Or perhaps, if you're looking for something a bit more original, Aeris?

Funny... that is the name of the street we live on... and we have to constantly say AIR-EE-ANN so they do not think we live in a racist neighborhood!

I would pronounce it (because of the way it is spelled) AIR-ee-en. I actually prefer Aerin instead, just because AIR-ee-en can have such a bad meaning.
