[Opinions] Virginia
I think this might be my new number 6. I love Virginia Alice (I really don't care if it's a "double a"--I like those), but I want to use Alice Magdalene. So I am thinking Maybe Virginia Anna. My great grandmother was named Virgie Estelle. :-X

My grandmother was Virginia Lucille, and my number one at the moment is Lucy Virginia. Mostly I'm just using Lucy to honor her (she didn't really like Virginia and insisted on being called Ginny) and Virginia because I think it's grand... but I quite like the combo and think it's neat that it's basically her name reversed, as she's been the single most influential person in my life. :)Anyway... I think Virginia is lovely. Stately and elegant without being frilly. Virginia Alice is nice, but I like Alice Magdalene more I think ... Virginia Anna doesn't flow right to me -- Anna Virginia would be better, if you're not insistent on Virginia as a first name.

Virginia is one big exception to my love for girls' names that begin with a V. It seems very dated, but that's not really why I don't like it. I don't really know why. Every time I hear it, I think of a big clunky homely girl chasing a soccer ball around. I don't know why.

It's a great name, though not the kind I'd use it. Virginia Alice is nice, I don't mind the "A" thing. Virginia Anna flows well too.

I like Virginia Alice better than Alice Magdalene.

One of my top girl combos is Alice Virginia! I don't like Virginia as much as a fn, but it's nice. Ginny is a nice nn, too.I think Anna Virginia sounds better than Virginia Anna.

I love Virginia. It was my number 1 for a very, very long time, and some days it still is. There are just a bunch of reasons as to why I personally don't think I can use it, but I always advocate Virginia as much as possible. ;)Virginia Alice is nice - it reminds me of my old combo Virginia Adeline - but I like Alice better as a first name (i.e. Alice Magdelene). Virginia Anna is great. How about Virginia Estelle, after your g-grandma? Virginia Stella?(My combo is Virginia Laure, if you're interested.)

Virginia is a superb name! I used to like the nickname Ginny, but then J.K. Rowling used it for Ginny Weasley. :( Now I don't like it as much.I would love to meet a little Virginia, and I think Virginia Alice is great. I don't really see a problem with the 'A's as each 'A' makes a different sound. So, the combo doesn't run together.Virginia Anna is ok, but the combo is a little 'N' heavy, and Anna seems too short a name to be stuck behind Virginia. Plus, it sounds rather incomplete to my ears, like it needs extra syllables. How about Virginia Annabel? Virginia Annabeth? Or Virginia Susannah (incorporating Anna plus using your mother's name), Virginia Emily, Virginia Eleanor, Virginia Ariane?

agreeI like Virginia Alice, too.
Virginia Anna kind of seems like it's missing something, so Virginia Annabel would be a pleasant-sounding choice!

Virginia Alice - love the flow in the combo. Very classy, feminine name. I like it but I think I prefer Alice Virginia.
Alice Magdalene - nice but not that special.
Virginia Anna - I hate Anna. It's the one name I just can't stand. I don't really like the flow either. There must be a better middle name than Anna.
Virgie Estelle - I like it and Virginia Estelle would be a great alternative. Much, much better than Virginia Anna. I like Virgina Alice and Virginia Estelle but over all I prefer Alice as a first name.
