Don't know... I much prefer Marion, which looks more um.. complete, distinctive and I feel like it had very much energy in it.
Marian is, after Marion, is kind of meh - too neutral and reminds me of all the "nice" names everyone seems to like, but not enough to adding it to the PNL or thinking of using it.
I also can't see Marion on a male: there's something strongly feminine in it. I adore it pronounced the French way - mah-ree-AWN. Such a brilliant name! :)
I'm very glad that you posted about those two names - now I'm thinking of adding Marion to my PNL, again. :D
