I like the Irish name Siofra, which is said almost exactly like Shifra. I like the meaning of Shifra, but I don't like the look of the name. :/ I don't even like Shiphrah.
Shira always reminds me of the 1980s cartoon 'He-Man and She-Ra', so it doesn't really seem like a serious name for me. I wish I could overcome it because the meaning is lovely, and definitely something that would appeal to me. I do happen to love the related Shiri, though.
