I'd definitely consider it more female, and it gives me a really good feeling, and is a nice alternative to the sure-to-be-overdone Marley. I like that it honors Thomas Morley as well, which is why I brought it up (kudos to Kate for bringing him up).

I just think of Morley Safer, the "60 Minutes" news correspondent. So it's old mannish and nickname-y to me, but doesn't have an attractive or sophisticated sound at all, imo.

It's OK, but it will forever remind me about the cigarette brand, that the head bad guy (the Cigarette Smoking Man) in The X-Files chain-smokes. It's called Morley.

Well, with the ley at the end of it, it makes me think it should belong on a girl. However, Morley sounds like morbid to me and not at all attractive. I think Marley sounds better if you like that direction.

I hate it. For either. It sounds like a dog food variety to me.

Neither. It's a surname, or if you're from around here, a suburb with a big shopping centre and a high crime rate. I can't picture it as a first name.

I've only ever met one Morley, he was an older man, in his 70s or so, and this was 5 years ago (approximately). I don't like it because of this man, as I found him very arrogant.

I don't like the 'MOR' sound at the beginning. It reminds me of 'Marlie' which I associate with a dog.
