I think it would be odd.
Frankly, most people wouldn't know that Yeshua = Jesus. Most people in Britain don't know that about Joshua. My concern wouldn't be that, but the fact that it sounds like an archaic Hebrew name and mightn't go with surnames, other names in the family.
If you really like it, though, I see no reason why not.
