I know little about it, and I really only know of it because a singer bears the name... but WDYTO Amel for a girl?

I like it WAY more than Amelia or Emily (which probably don't have anything to do with Amel, except they sound kind of similar). :-)

Pronounced AH-mel , I like it. But I can see it being pronounced AY-mel, which would spoil it totally. I havent heard of it before, so I cant give any thoughts or info on where it comes from.
When I first saw it I thought of Amiel, which I adore.
