[Opinions] Genève
Any thoughts on Genève? I love Geneviève so when I found this name recently, I loved it immediately. It's pronounced like zhuh-NEV, where the last syllable rhymes with Bev. I love Nève for a nn.

That's very pretty. I know a Geneva (pronounced Zhen-ee-VAH,as I live in French-speaking New Brunswick), but I prefer Geneve, now I've seen it.(and sorry, I can't make my accent key work!)
Genève is lovely. You may have to let people know how to pronounce it properly sometimes, but I wouldn't let that deter me. It's a beautiful name, and Nève is a cute nn, too!
It sounds very cool. :D I like it a lot!
I like it.
I prefer Genevieve pronounced the English way. As pretty as the French way is, it would never be pronounced right. I could maybe handle 'zheh-neh-VEEV', but 'ZHEN-vay-eev' would be too problematic.

I'm hoping people around here (Vancouver, BC)would be able to pronounce Geneviève the french way, since French is one of our country's national languages. I should start asking my neighbors etc. if they know how to pronounce it.
'ZHAN-vee-ev' or 'zhen-eh-VEEV'?
ZHAN-vee-ev
