I like the sound when I say it outloud... but it looks too strange and made up. If it were used in a fantasy world though, it would be perfect.

I like pretty much any name ending is -ska, it's sooo pretty to me. And quite different from most names in the US/Canada. Which is part of the allure for me, really. I love international-feeling names :)

It doesn't sound made-up to me. It sounds very, very Russian (though it's German.) It's not for me, but I think with the right middle name it could be fabulous. I don't think it's too out there at all, but keep in mind that I like very out-there names.

I'd never heard of it before, but I like the sound. It's very Russian/German/Polish/etc sounding. I think it's very pretty and doesn't look made up.

I like it much much more than Valerie, actually. Eastern European names have always been quite the weakness for me. It's definaetly not too out there, and doesn't sound made up at all. It's clearly a name, and quite a nice one at that!
