[Opinions] Concordia and Prosperina
What do you think of Concordia? What does it make you think of? I'm really starting to love it.
Also, for the longest time I thought Proserpina was Prosperina, and now that I find out it's not, I'm very sad =( Do you think Prosperina could work as a feminine form of Prosper? Or does it seem completely made-up to you?

*** Concordia is an orchestra I'm in.
Proserpina is growing on me, though to me it is a Roman form Persephone - Prosper something quite different to me. (But I like it, too) Prosperina isn't made-up-looking - maybe I'm saying so, beause I've thought about it myself. :)
What I'd like to share is this painting - a little sugary, but still beautiful. It is named Proserpine.

That's why this name has grown on me so much. I hate the sweetness of Pre-Raphaelists, but all the paintings with Jane Morris are truly great. :)

Concordia is a college (and a good one) around here.
I can't really see it as a name. Prosperina doesn't look made-up...it just looks really, really weird. Sorry

Same here...Canadians!
Concordia is the name of a huge university in my country...thus, its very hard for me to imagine it as a name.
Concordia is the name of the ship I sailed on for a year.....so I love it! Probably for a middle name though
I quite like Concordia. It has a nice ring to it...but...I think of this:

I think Prosperina sounds mad up sorry.

Concordia reminds me of the concorde plane. Prosperina is a bit of a stretch, but could work. Proserpina is nice.
I just can't picture a real ordinary person named Concordia. I can see Sister Mary Concordia of the Order of the Sacred Heart, but I can't hear "Conrdia Stevenson took medals in the junior varsity track and field event" or "Concordia, will you please try to remember to not to leave dirt on the soap!"
Prosperina sounds madeup, like a witch or a fairy godmother ina cartoon.

I read Prosperina, too. No, I don't think it looks made up and yes, I do believe it's workable. If you're really worried about it, relegate it to the mn spot :)
As for Concordia... it makes me think of two probably strange things. First, concord grapes (sorry, can't help it. At least they're yummy!) Second, it reminds me of ther verb "concordar" in Portuguese--and also Spanish--which means "to agree". So it is a very agreeable name to say the least. *g*
It is pretty though, and a nice alternative to Cordelia, which I have a love-hate relationship with.
