[Opinions] How do YOU pronounce....
Ciara. I say it as kee-ruh but I don't know if thats right because I have also heard it as kee-air-uh and also see-air-uh. If you were going to use this name (with the pronounciation keer-uh) how would you spell it. Ciara, Kira or Keira? Or something else? Thanks.

to me its more like Kee-ah-rah like as in Kiara.
Ciara can't possibly sound like Sierra in my opinion. It makes no grammatical sense.

KEER-a and I like only the original spelling, Ciara.

see-AR-uhI'd spell it Kira if I wanted the pronunciation keer-uh. Second choice Keira.

KEER-ah..I see it as a form of Keira or Ciaran. I don't know where 'see-AHR-ah' comes from, it looks made up.

I say all of those names as KEE-rah.

With the pronunciation KEER-a, I'd use the spelling Kira, with Keira in 2nd place. They both look nicer than Ciara, imo.

For "KEER-uh" I would spell it Kiera or Ciara. Kira is a completely different name, which I also like. I don't like the Keira spelling because I suspect that spelling is only popular because of Keira Knightley.

KEER-ah being the proper way as it is an Irish name (see-AIR-ah is very wrong and even kee-AH-rah is pushing it).I would spell it Ciara though Keira doesn't bother me.

SEE-air-ah, like the singer.

Ciara=SEE-air-uh. Keira=KEER-uh.

KEER-uhI only like it spelled Ciara or Kira.

It depends. If I'm talking about the singer, I would pronounce it see-AIR-ah, similar to Sierra. But if I'm talking about someone else, I would use kee-AIR-ah. Not really sure why this is. o_O

I pronounce Ciara as KEER-ah, but especially in North America, that won't happen very often. People here tend to say KEY-ar-ah, which I guess is just as legiitimate but Chiara is there for that, or worse SEE-air-ah! Sierra? If you want KEER-ah, I'd go with either Keira (Keira Knightly has made it quite clear) or Kiera (i before e except after c) (I prefer the latter) and maybe Kyra because of Kyra Sedgwick.

Kira, I would say Kee-are-uh or Ciara and Kee=air-uh or Keira.

My first instinct is to pronounce it like Chiara, the Italian form of Claire-- kee-AHR-uh, but I suppose based on its roots it ought to be pronounced KEER-uh.

Ciara, Kira and Keira are all KI-ruh to me. Though I did once know a Kiara that was ki-ah-ruh, so Ciara would be more susceptible to that (though K would stop the 's' pronounciation that C lends itself to). I once knew a Kirra. Kirra is suppose to reflect some word (possibly boomerang) from some Australian Aboriginal language. There's also Kiera.I like Kirra, just because it's not run of the mill and is pronounced as ki-ruh too.

Ciara is another spelling of Sierra (see-AIR-uh) to me (though I much prefer Sierra)...
If I was going for the KEER-uh prn, I'd go with Kira or Keira.

I pronounce Kira KEER-ruh and Keira kee-ARE-uh or kee-AIR-uh. I've always pronounced Ciara see-AIR-uh because of the Ci.

I pronounce it KEER-ah and I would spell it Ciara.

I prn it KEE-ar-uh, almost like Kiera but with the accent at the beginning and not really mushed together. I usually picture Kiera as Ciara said quickly.

I pronounce it KEER-a, and I'd spell it Ciara.

I am Irish so I say KEER-ah and spell it Ciara.

I would say KEE-rah: and I'd spell it Keira (I think that would also eliminate pron. confusion). Kyra would fit best with Hayley and Skye I think. Ciara is also okay, but I like Kira least.

Kee-ar-a is how I would say it so I would use Keira or Kira to get the pronounciation you want.
ETA: Just looked up Ciara in the database and both Kee-ra and Kee-ar-a are used so I guess you can use Ciara too.

I say Keira & Kira as keer-uh but Ciara makes me want to say see-air-uh as thats how the singer says it :) but I know a girl named Ciara & she pronounces it like Keira/Kira.
I'd spell it Keira.
