Haruna's parents are Mariko Masami Hashimoto Oshiro and Kenichi Yori Oshiro. Cordelia's parents are Laura Marie Schultz Andersen and Mark Joshua Andersen.
Haruna and Cordelia met two years ago at a Halloween party hosted by a mutual friend in college, where Cordelia was working on her BA in music education and Haruna, her BA in journalism. Haruna was immediately smitten, and Cordelia came to be not long after. They were married just last year, much to the shock of both their sets of parental units. It has taken their parents some getting used to, but while Cordelia's parents have yet to speak to their daughter, Haruna's parents have been fairly welcoming of their new daughter-in-law. As a couple, Haruna and Cordelia (Haru and Cordy only to each other) are very understated. Haruna is laconic by nature, and sometimes comes off as a bit cold or intimidating. Cordelia is warm but soft-spoken.
