Milo strikes me as a somewhat immature name. As an occasional nn it's pretty cool, but I'm not sure I could take it seriously on a grown man. There's a bunch of associations to it as well: Milo and Otis (movie about a dog), Milo Ventimiglia (guy who played Jess on Gilmore Girls and Peter in Heroes, and who's currently robbing Hayden Panettiere's cradle), Milo the drink, etc.
I'm going to have to agree with hayleyskye that Miles is more preferable, personally. There's nothing wrong or bad about it. It could possibly be teetering on the verge of trendiness with Milo Ventigmithingy being popular right now and all.
It's also the name of Pepper Ann's blue-haired best friend. *g*
