[Opinions] Serenity
One of my co-workers is 5 months pregnant and recently found out she's having a little girl. She came in announced that she and her husband decided on the name Serenity for the baby's first name but they were unsure of a middle name. I tried to hide my shock & surprise when she made the announcement, but I think she noticed that I didn't care for the name. What do you think??

Loved the movie, but..I don't like Serenity as a name. There are only two virtue/word names I like, and this is not one of them.

I think the name has a beautiful sound, but that it is asking for a child who throws temper tantrums and drives you up the wall, in the same way everyone I know named either Grace or Anna is very clumsy.

I love the movie. The name is okay, but I'm not particularly fond of it. I wouldn't use it myself, but it's fine for someone else's kid. I'm not sure why you were shocked and surprised about it; it's not offensive or anything.

I used to like it but now it just seems tacky to me (it was taken off my list along with Charity for the same reason). It's pretty enough but it has no depths. When I compare it with Ingrid, Elizabeth, Grace or even 'frilly' names like Annabel it lacks something. If it was an actress it would be the 'airhead with little talent but looks nice' rather than the 'elegant, beautiful Oscar-winner'.

Adult diapers. And Mr Constanza "SERENITY NOW!!!" I just don't like it. It's cheesy sounding.

It's a very pretty name. However, I'd use it as a middle name as opposed to a first name.

I don't like it at allIt will always be associated with sanitary pads for me. Also, Serenity kind of makes me think of a funeral home/nursing home or cemetery.
