Just noticed this name on Facebook. I don't love it, but I think some people might like it as an alternative to Carys/Cerys.

I like it. It's the name of a character on Star Trek - Kira Nerys. (Nerys being a given name and Kira as a family name.)

I like Nereida and Nerissa. Is Nerys a variant?

They all feel fresh and have that intriguing hint of Greek mythology to them.

Nerys is Welsh (derived from 'ner' -'lord') according to BtN. It isn't related to Greek as far as I can tell.
