[Opinions] Re: Laurie or Lori?

I would pronounce Laurie and Lori the same. I know a man nn Laurie pronounced LOR-ee and I have to keep reminding myself to pronounce it that way and not LAWR-ee. I would pronounce Lori and LAWR-ee too.
LOR-ee just sound like Lorry, and leads to the image of a big truck in my imagination.
Lauren and Laura / Lora are ok. I know many girls called Lauren or various ages. I know only two Lauries and both are men with it as a nn for Laurence.
I would never use Laurence as a girl's name. Even if it's legitimately a French girl's name.
Any name cane go with a fn for mn you just have to like it or have meaning to you. So there is no best mn for Laurie.
