Kyprian (or Cyprien) is kinda Mediterranean and at odds with the Germanic aura of Aske Grimjaur. Unless the character has a split personality, is pythonesque, or resulted from creative cross-border copulation, stick to Tristan.

Tristan I've heard of. I love the name. But it's popular. Kyprian is obviously much less common, if that's what you want. I'd never heard of it before.
