[Opinions] WDYTO Caitlin?
Aside from its current popularity-if you can put it aside. TIA!

I like the name Caitlin, though I prefer the spelling Caitlyn. The popularity doesn't bother me, although I think it's a bit on the trendy side.
Overall, though, I must admit that I prefer Kate on its own (with this spelling only), or Katherine NN Kate. They're so much more classic imo. And in general, I love the NN Kate, but it doesn't make too much sense with a 'C' spelling of Caitlin.

It remains one of my all time favorite names. I loved it way before it's popularity-this spelling only. My mom is 100% Irish and I've always been drawn to Irish names, plus I love that it is the Irish version of Catherine which is a family name for us. That said, the popularity now drives me crazy. When I was pregnant it was in my top three but I didn't use it in the end even though I find it just beautiful.
Hate it...
I find it trendy and immature.
Catherine would be miles better imo.

I actually loved the name Caitlin before it became so overused. I even considered naming my future daughter that, since it was Irish, and would be honoring my mother's side of the family. But then everyone and their brother starting naming their daughters that, and my love for it wilted. I still like it, but I can't help associating it with SUV's, annoying soccer moms, and bratty, spoiled little girls. Kind of ruined it for me.
nt.
It's okay... as a middle name I guess. It reminds me of a snotty little girl. So it doesn't paint the best image in my head but, that's just me. Other then that I do like the sound and the original spelling.
I love it but I wish it wasn't so popular.
I can't really get the fact that it's so popular and will become very dated. Otherwise, I find Kathleen a much more attractive form of the name anyway.
Caitlín is more popular but its interesting name :)
I like it, but doubt I'd ever actually use it. Yes, it's popular, but it's still pretty.
I prefer Catherine.
I think it's a lovely name, but only spelt that way
