[Opinions] WDYTO Kara?
Do you like this name? My opinion is that it's pretty but seems insubstantial. Do you prefer it spelled Kara or Cara?

I don't mind it. I prefer the spelling Kara. :)

I think it's rather dull, but then I've never liked consonant-vowel-consonant-vowel names. The fact that it's spelled with the tryndee K doesn't help.
All in all, I agree with you: Kara is insubstantial. Obviously, I would prefer Cara (though I don't like that much either).

I like the name, but only if it is spelled with a "C".

I know a really horrible Kara, so I dislike it a lot. Cara is slightly better, but neither is anything I would ever use.

I actually like this name a lot. I prefer the spelling Cara, but both spellings are fine to me. I like it also as a nick name for Caroline.ETA: I like it when it's pronounced KAIR-uh, but don't mind kar-uh.

I really like it because it's tied to one of my favorite games EVER - I played it when I was six or seven and the names have stuck with me ever since. I prefer the Kara spelling because that's how one of the characters spelled it, though Cara is also nice and a little less trendy-looking.My sister has a friend named Kara - she's the only Kara I've ever met IRL.

I've been kind of liking it lately. I would prefer Kara, because I think most people would pronounce it Care-uh, as a I like it to be. Cara, I feel, that people would say car-uh, which I dislike. Maybe it's just me.

I love Cara, I think it's classic and timeless. The K makes it look tacky though.S xx

I know a lot of women in their 20s with this name, normally spelt Cara. I don't think it's insubstantial, though the K makes it look slightly more trendy.I've only ever heard it said KAHR-a which personally I don't think is that pretty but it's fine for someone else.

Cara is my preferred spelling. Kara/ Cara is warm and friendly, it's cute, youthful. Like you, I find it slightly insubstantial. Then again, I feel that way about most short names.

I love Cara pronounced KAH-rah (cannot stand KAIR-ah, that does cheapen it in my eyes). I would use it, I think.Kara is ok but it does have the ever-trendy 'K'. Cara looks more sophisticated to me.

I agree it's a bit unsubtantial. It looks right into the "K" trend along with the likes of Keira and Kendra. Cara is cute but it's "dear" in my own language so that' s a bit weird. Overall, it'ok, but not the kind of name I'd use.

I think it's okay for someone else, but I really don't like the sound of it at all. I prefer it spelled Kara and pronounced CARE-uh rather than KAHR-uh.I don't think it's insubstantial in the slightest.Array

I like it. It's pretty enough, but like you I don't think it seems substantial enough. I don't know why. I definitely prefer it spelled Cara though, much prettier.

I like it well enough, but like you I'm not in love with it. There's not very much to it. I prefer Kara.
