[Opinions] Beatrice
This is currently my favorite girl's name, so I have some questions about Beatrice...1. What is your opinion of Beatrice? Does the name make you imagine a certain sort of person?
2. What do you think about the combo Beatrice Laura?
3. Any sibling suggestions? Thanks!

Beatrice Portinari was Dante Alighieri's platonic love. Laura (de Noves?) was Francesco Petrarca's. I think Avis chose both names after them. And therefore, even though I don't particularly like Laura, I think this combo has its charm for that meaning.

You're 100% correct... that's exactly the reason I paired Beatrice with Laura :-)

Laura is so plain next to Beatrice, but it does bring Beatrice down to normal and lessen the any perception of putting on airs.3. Any sibling suggestions?

I very much dislike this name. It doesn't make me think of any particular sort of person. I just think it's ugly. It's the BEET part, all I can think of is beets. Beatrice Laura is fine, if you're going to go with Beatrice.

Beatrice is lovely. I love the pronunciations BEE-uh-triss, beh-ah-TREECE, and especially beh-ah-TREE-cheh.1. The name definitely seems aristocratic to me.
2. I love it. I think of Dante's Beatrice and Petrarch's Laura. The flow isn't great, in English or Italian. I would prefer Laura Beatrice.
3. Beatrice and...
- Constance, Flora, Cecily / Cecilia, Daphne, Penelope, Ursula, Ramona
- Julius, Clement, Roman, Roland, Quentin, Florian, Sebastian, Jude
