I heard the name Adria today. I looked it up in the database and they have it pronounced AYD-ree-ə. That's also how I heard it pronounced. At first I didn't know if I liked it but I think I kind of like it. It just seems a little unfinished to me.

Also, my brothers girlfriend got a little puppy today and named him Louie. He's an adorable little light brown dachshund, only 8 weeks old.

What do you think of Adria? And Louie for a dog?

Adria reminds me of the Adriatic sea more than it reminds of of the name Adrian, for some reason, which is weird because Adrian is pretty much my top boys name at the moment. I'm probably weird, but I really like the sea connection (then again, I also like Caspian and know there are others who do a well, so perhaps not so weird?). It doesn't sound incomplete to me, and I actually really like it - wouldn't use it, though, since I intend to use Adrian on a boy.

Louie is cute on a dog! :)

Adria is OK, but not something I'd use. It reminds me of Andrea, and to me Andrea is a lumpy, unnattractive name (as I knew a rather dim, lumpy, unnattractive and not particularly nice Andrea).

Louie is super cute on a puppy or a guy!

I would instictively say Adria AY-dree-uh. Much prefer your pronunciation, even if the difference is subtle. It's okay, not my favourite, but not bad.
Louie is cute as can be on a puppy!
