Help[Opinions] Loice, Permella and Coley?
My friend is currently sitting about 5 feet from me and is reading me some of her ancestor's names (she's recently gotten big into geneology), and just shared these gems with me!
I've never heard of either Loice, Coley or Permella - and none are on the website. These are women who lived during the 1870s-1920s in the New England area of the US.
Opinions?

Loice is Lois, isn't it?

We were thinking it might be an alternate spelling of Lois but we weren't sure...

All rather unfortunate names, in my opinion. THey aren't very pretty, or nice sounding, I think they should be wisely left where they were found.

I saw Loyce once or twice, on a man. I don't care for it, it makes me think of a cut of meat. :)

We can't imagine what these poor women went through lol, though back in that day there were quite a few odd names going around! They were the Mackenzies and Neveahs and Pilot Inspektors of their day!
