[Opinions] Rosemary or Rose?
I've always loved Rose, but only recently did I discover Rosemary. I really like both names, but which one is 'better'? Rosemary or Rose?Which combo is the best; Rosemary Kate or Rose Eleanor? Can you think of any other good combos for Rosemary and Rose?

Rosemary is a bit more refreshing.

Both!LOL maybe not. I like Rosemary mainly for the nn Romy, but Rose is simple and sweet and my favourite name of all time.I prefer Rosemary Kate though, because Rose needs a middle name that doesn't have the emphasis on the first syllable. But Eleanor is gorgeous though. My current combo is Rose Cordelia, but I have been toying with Rose Jessenia.Rose Antonia
Rose Adelaide
Rose Ophelia
Rose AdelineI think Rosemary Pearl is cute.
Rosemary Frances
Rosemary Claire
Sorry, I'm really not doing well for combos today.

RosemaryMore nn options (Romy, Rosie, Rose etc), I like the sound better. I think with Rosemary you can easily switch back and forward between the two names (Rose and Rosemary), so theres no need to choose between them- with Rosemary you get both. Both combos are lovely.

Rosemary is way better. Everyone seems to rave about Rose, but I find it dated and boring. Rosemary Eleanor is gorgeous.

I dislike Rosemary on a little girl, so: Rose.Rose Eleanor is better than Rosemary Kate. Rose Eleanor flows better.
But I'd prefer Elinor, it doesn't look so old-fashioned.

I don't mind old fashioned...I have a tendency to like old-fashioned names better than modern names/younger sounding names. I'll choose Sigrid over Stephanie any day (using those names as an example)...
After all; little baby Rosemary won't be little baby Rosemary forever; she'll grow up and eventually be grandma Rosemary...

My name is Rosemary but I have to say I prefer Rose. These days, Rosemary just feels too dated to use. Rosemary Kate flows better. But I like Rose Eleanor and also Eleanor Rose.

RosalieI like Rosalie, Rosita or Rosalia.I like: Rose Ella

I'd have to go with Rosemary. I think both are nice, but Rose seems better suited as a MN imo, while Rosemary can go either way (it seems a bit more 'complete' too). Rosemary Kate is my favorite of the two, hands down. I think the combo is so classy, and I especially love Kate!

How ABout Katherine Rose?
I like Rose the best, probably as a middle name.Eleanor Rose is nice

The funny thing is that I don't like Rose as a mn, in opinion Rose is overused in the mn-spot.

I think both names are lovely, but I'd be more inclined to go with Rosemary as I also love the name Mary, but dislike it's meaning. Here I would get to use it and it takes on a new and nicer meaning! Rosemary Kate is perfect, I absolutely love it.

Rosemary.Rose is boring, but Rosemary is pretty.

I've rather recently started liking Rosemary too. I like Rosemary best, although if you love Rose you could of course have it for a nickname.Rosemary Kate is very nice. I love Eleanor, but Rose Eleanor just doesn't appeal to me as much.Rosemary Augusta
Rosemary Bridget
Rosemary Fiona
Rosemary Juliet
Rosemary Olwen (ooh, I think I just finally found my Olwen combo if I switch those around!)
Rosemary Violet

I really like Rosemary Fiona and also like Rosemary Juliet (v similar to my name, Rosemary Julia).I'm not keen on Olwen at all but definitely prefer Rosemary Olwen rather than the other way round.

Ooh that's a tough one...both are so lovely you couldn't go wrong! I think if I had to choose, it would be Rose Eleanor

I like:
Rose Elisabeth
Rose Meredith (wouldn't be able to use it though, as Meredith is the name of my close friends' dog...)
Rose Catherine (prefer the Katherine spelling, though)

Going by the combos, Rose Eleanor.

I prefer Rose, I don't like the way Rosemary looks. Rose Beatrice is lovely.

Rose Beatrice is indeed lovely!

I actually prefer Rose as a name, but I think Rose works better as a middle name for girls and Rosemary might work better as a first name. Its hard to get good combos starting with Rose maybe, but easier to match it as a mn to other first names.I think if you switched to Eleanor Rose it would flow better imo.So of the two I prefer Rosemary KateHave you also considered Roseanne and Rosalind?

Don't like Roseanne, Rosalind is alright

I prefer Rose to Rosemary as I love how it is simple and yet classy at the same time. However, as a combo I prefer Rosemary Kate because it flows better than Rose Eleanor. Rose is very hard to find mns for which I guess is why it is more often used as a mn itself. I can only think of:Rose Felicity
Rose Kathleen
Rose Wilhelmina
Rose Ebony
Rose Winifred
Rose Marcella
Rose Veronica
Rose AnitaS xx

Rose Winifred is actually one of my other favorite Rose combos...!

I like both. My great-grandmother was named Rose and my recently-deceased great-aunt (her daughter) was named Rosemary. So both are special to me.

I adore Rosemary and Rosemary Kate is lovely. Eleanor is nice, just not sure it fits with either Rosemary or Rose.
