[Opinions] Ellisande?
Could this work as a name? It has been running through my head, and I think it sounds a little softer than Melisande. Thoughts?:0)

I like 'Alisande' better.

Actually, Elisande was posted not too long ago.
I think Ellisande is, franky, butchering Melisande. It seems like an excuse to use the nn 'Ella' or 'Elle', which I despise.

My first idea was: "Oh, Melisande without m!". Honestly, I prefer Melisande, as I prefer Desmond over Esmond etc. And btw, I think that "m" is the softest letter in our alphabet. :D
I love Melisande especially because of Pelléas & Mélisande, which is one of my all time favourite operas. But well, how do you pronounce Ellisande - e-li-SAHND or e-li-SAN-dee? Some combos with Ellisande could be Ellisande Gerda, Ellisande Finola, Ellisande Georgia or Ellisande Cora.

I kind of like it. It's like a soft take on Alexandra

I'm sure it could work; I quite like it. You might also like Alisandre for a boy.

No. I don't really like Ellisande or Melisende, even though the famous bearer of Melisende (Melisende, Queen of Jerusalem) was pretty interesting.

This was posted not that long ago (although spelled Elisande, but I presume it is the same?). Here is a link, where you can find other opinions.http://www.behindthename.com/bb/view.php?id=3333528&board=baby
