[Opinions] Laetitia
I love the name Laetitia. It used to be quite popular in France. It's pronounced (I'm really bad at explaining pronunciations but this should be pretty close) Lay-tee-tzee-ah or Leh-tee-tzee-ah. The problem is I hate hate hate Lay-tish-ah or Leh-tish-ah or anything else with the "tish" sound in it. WDYT of Laetitia ?
Do you think people will say Lay-tish-ah all the time ?
Would it be hard to correct them all the time ?
Would it be misspelled all the time ? (I have seen Leticia, Laeticia, Layticia etc etc)
Is it better as a middle name because of spelling/pronunciation problems ?

I do like it, but I prefer Leticia and Letizia.I at first didn't think Laetitia was a French name because of the -a ending, but then I realized it was. Some French girls' names do end in -a (like Emma, Barbara, Mélissa, and Rébecca).

I love Laetitia. Letitia is the more common spelling here in the U.S. But the "ae" version is definitely more interesting / intriguing. Your pronunciation is also my preferred one. But I haven't a hope of getting away from the "tish" pronunciation here, not that I mind it that much. Your pronunciation would probably work in a Latino community here, but not elsewhere. If it really bothers you that much, then I would keep it in the mn position.I believe the Leticia spelling is Spanish, but I could be wrong.

I love the Italian form: Letizia. Beautiful!I'm in love with Laetitia, and the pronunciation I use is the one you and the OP are using. Totally not a fan of the 'tish' sound. :/

Yeah I would suggest Letizia if you really wanted to avoid it. Laetitia's interesting and very stately, and I like it a lot. Letitia is close to making my shortlist a lot, but I don't mind "teesh" at all and say it that way.
