WDYT it's been growing on me for a girl.

ETA: WDYT of Hope for a boy? I have seen it on boys before I think it could work it's kind of handsome. Maybe as a MN?

I like India as a name, in theory. It's kind of a GP for me. But I'm not big on place names for real use, in general.

Hope for a boy? NMSAA.

India is one of those names I had to get used to through association. My first association with it was the rather annoying character in Gone With the Wind, so I didn't like it much. I have a 3 1/2 year old cousin with the name and I quite like it because of her.

I can't really see Hope on a boy, but at the same time I don't think it's awful. Perhaps it would work as a middle name.

I really like India. I know it's a placename, but it seems like genuine name, I suppose because of India Wilkes. I love the sound and how it looks in print.

Hope on a boy is terrible. It's much to feminine. How about Elpis? Or Tivka? I really like Tivka; it reminds me of the lovely Israeli national anthem Hativka.

I don't care fro the name India. I also do not like using Hope for a boy at all!! I think hope is a good middle name for a girl along with faith, joy, & Grace.

I like the sound of it but I don't like the fact that it is a place name. Indy is a cute nickname.

I like India. Its like one of the only other place names I actually like other than Georgia and Virginia.

I like it but I'd never use it with not having any connection with the country India. I'd feel a bit strange. It is very pretty.
