I could have sworn this was a boys' name, but apparently not. It's a variant of Adelaide, pronounced 'AD-uh-lie'.

I always thought Adelai would be a nickname for Adelaide that I'd probably use a lot. It's neat enough but I like almost all the others more

I think Adlai is related to Adaliah, so maybe it's just another varient.
