I dislike the sound of Salus, perhaps because even in a Latin/Roman context it sounds a bit masculine. I love Aleksi in Finnish. :-)

Salus, makes me think of saline solution. It makes no sense but this is currently blocking me from figuring out my real opinion. Hm.

Aleksi is wonderful. I love it. especially that spelling with the ks instead of the x that alot of people use.

That's what I thought, I keep wanting to say 'sahl-ush', like the Hungarian last name Szalus.
