[Opinions] Tiarne
Did you ever hear of that name before ? It seems to be quite common in Australia (I met several girls named Tiarne there) and I was really surprised. Did you meet any ? Do you like it ? Do you happen to know where it comes from ? It is pronounced tee-AHRN

I'm Australian and I've heard of a few Tiarne's, and Tiana's pronounced like tee-AHN-ah.

I've never heard of Tiarne nor have I met anyone with that name. It doesn't have a very pleasant sound.

I've never heard this name before, and I don't like it. When you say it out loud, it sounds like someone is yawning.

I have a friend whose name is pronounced that way, but she spells it Tyarn. I do like the name, as it suits her quite well. I have no idea where it comes from, but I think it might have something to do with a place in Germany or Scandinavia, as that's where her sister's names come from. Her family calls her Tyoo-AHN, when they are speaking German. I hope that helps some...

It reminds me of "tarnation."
