Most people do not put emphasis on the first syllable of Evangeline. When they say it, they will sort of imagine it pronounced like Eev (first syl) but it will come out like Av. That is: they can't really tell the difference, or else they don't pronounce it. I say it in my head Eevangeline but out loud ahvangeline. *shrug* no biggie. Evie is still a natural thing to call her even for the people calling her avangeline. I hope this is an even slightly coherent reply. In sum: no worries, you are fine.

Also I like that you're saying it -leen and not line or lynn, that's by far my favorite. Also that is really an excellent sibset.
