I have known a couple of men here named Kim. Its usually a girl's name, but it can work for guys, too.

There are some men/boys named Kim here. I know one. It is not unheard of. It is definitely more of a girl's name, however. Esp in younger generation.

I think it's a fine name for a boy. Not very common in the states but not way out there either. I've known a man named Kim before.
