And the Gaelic spelling might work better in the UK. It's the only name that starts with Finn that I can tolerate.

I *love* this name. (I'm in the states btw.) I have a friend that was born in Ireland and lived in the UK for a while and her DH is named Fionnlagh Cian and also her DS is Fionnlagh Cian. DH goes by Fionn and DS goes by Cian.

I like it. I love Fionn, which could be a nickname in this case. I've been really liking Finlay/Finley lately. I'd spell it that way because in the US people would be afraid of Fionnlagh. So I'm not sure how it would fare in the UK. I suppose Scotland could handle it. And Northern Ireland. :) I might consider using Finley, but it's been becoming more popular here... possibly to the trendy point. Sadness.

I like it, but would use the spelling Finlay just because I think that not many people would spell Fionnlagh correctly.
