I think it is extremely tacky and nearly everyone I meet who I mention the name to makes a face. Her name is Promise Messiah by the way and her sister is Nevaeh Journey and her brother is River Credence.

Don't use it for a boy under any circumstances, but it is incredibly sweet on a girl. I've been digging Puritanesque names lately, so I'll take Promise.

hmmmm... never thought of it as a name before... seems more of a girl-type name than a boy-type name... then you could choose a name to go with it based on meaning and what kind of promise you're thinking of.

I like it best for a girl, but only for a mn.
