It's the butch-est (most masculine) name there is, as far as I'm concerned. Even more butch than Frank or Rowan. After all, it was my dad's name. It's also my son's middle name.
Second, I think of B. Lee, and then Springsteen. (ETA - oh, I forgot Willis. Funny how I have never really noticed this name on so many famous people, but there it is.) Definitely not gay, although I am also marginally aware of it being stereotyped as gay.
My dad got called "Bruce the Goose" as a nickname in high school. He sort of bragged about that.

Where I come from, "butch" doesn't mean "masculine"... not the way you mean it.
