[Opinions] Re: Gianna or Gillian?
in reply to a message by Tammy
I my husband and I have chosen the name Gianna for a girl, so obviously that's my preference. lol I don't think it is too Italian (although my husband is Italian)--the longer Giovanna is a bit much for a non-Italian family name, even for us. Gianna has the much cuter nn of Gia over Jill, so I think that's another thing to consider. Not sure what you think of those nns.
We're using Albertine as a mn, but that's because we would be naming her after my dad, John Albert. I could see how you might think Albertine is too archaic sounding, so I'm not suggesting it. How about:
Gianna Amalia / Amalie
Gianna Camille
Gianna Cassandra
Gianna Charmaine
Gianna Christabel
Gianna Danielle
Gianna Elisabeth
Gianna Elise
Gianna Emeline
Gianna Honoria
Gianna Katrina
Gianna Lorelei
Gianna Magdalene
Gianna Marisa
Gianna Pearl
Gianna Roselle
Gianna Sabrina
Gianna Sarai
